MY FAVORITE SPOT

    

        

 Gale fort is one of the major tourist site in the country. And it was very best experience in my life. When we get in to the Gale fort, we were think it’s a place from foreign country. It was that much very different from our culture. And we saw there a large number of foreign people. Some foreigners are involving in business activities. And some foreigners are came there for tourism purpose.

                   In the Gale fort my favorite place was the mosque it called as Masjithul Jamiyathul Hamitha.  The mosque located in the junction of Rampart Street and Leyn Baan Street. The Rampart Street is right site of the mosque and the Leyn Baan Street is the left site of the street. It was built 1903 and this mosque 112 years old.

 The mosque has an architectural value and this mosque very beautiful and higher than other building. And we can see the mosque the mosque from many angle and distance. And the mosque built based on Italian architecture.in the masjid promises there are two pools. The location of mosque is very beautiful. Another important thing is the mosque located near the light house and the rampart fort wall is in front of the mosque and at the same time the Rampart Street is looking parallel to the mosque.

When I observe the mosque the time was (3.30 pm) a prayer time therefore people gathered there for prayer and some people are involved in chatting with others. There are some small shops. The shop owners also closed their shops and gathering for prayer. During the prayer times there are some vehicles also parked there. The vehicles along to those people are gathered for prayer inside the mosque.

The environment of mosque also looking very busy at all time. A large number of people and vehicles also going on the road. Especially many number of tourists also going on the rampart street. Some people are taking photograph on background of the mosque. Tourist people also taking photographs. And at the same time there were some small mobile shops also. Some people are involving in selling ice- cream and snacks also.

The mosque is situated in very beautiful and it has adopted is very active environment. The architectural view of the mosque also very beautiful and the mosque is one of the heritage site of  Srilankan Muslims. We can see easily identify the mosque even when we look from long distance. Therefore we can say the mosque acting as a major landmark of that area.

Finally I would like to say the Gale fort is the best tourism place in whole Sri Lanka. And field visit to the Gale fort was the very nice tour in my life.
